what is YEAH?
The Youth Encouraging Advocacy & Hope (YEAH) Program promotes positive change within the foster care system while developing skills to ensure future success of youth in foster care. In partnership with Family Tapestry staff, YEAH members will lead monthly meetings that are important to them and their life.
why is YEAH important?
The mission of Family Tapestry is to weave together our community to transform the foster care experience. What better way to transform the system than to have youth leaders be part of this movement. Research has shown that when youth are engaged and invested in their own community, they are more successful as young adults. We hope to empower youth in the foster care system to find their voice and advocate for change within the system.
